Online College Degree-A New Culture

Are online college degree programs really worth it?  If you’re thinking of going back to school to get a degree, you’ve no doubt seen many ads on TV and the internet touting online degree programs.  They sound tempting, and you’ve probably given the idea quite a bit of thought.  But many people hold back, wondering if getting a college degree over the internet is really worth the investment in time and money.  Well, you can quit wondering.  There’s no debate at all.  If you hope to maximize your income, and reach the highest levels of your career field, it’s an excellent investment.

Let’s face it - the main reason most people are considering getting an online college degree is to make a lot more money, pure and simple.  And there’s nothing at all wrong with that.  The drive to better ourselves and get paid accordingly for our efforts is one of the factors that has made Western civilization such a great boon to humanity.  There’s no shame in earning money, and there’s no virtue in being poor, unless you hope to become a nun or a monk.  For everyday folks who aren’t planning on devoting their lives to spiritual pursuits, making more money is a legitimate career goal.

Well, guess what?  By getting an online college degree, you can not only earn more money, you can earn a lot more money.  If you get a degree, and qualify for a better job than you have now, you’ll be eligible for jobs that are much higher paying than your present one.  But that’s only the beginning.  Down the road, you’ll likely get raises, promotions, and bonuses that far outweigh the ones you would have gotten without a degree.  Labor experts tell us that the person with a bachelor’s degree will earn over a million dollars more than a person with a high school diploma over the course of a career, on average.  Some will do much, much better.  So don’t put off getting your online degree any longer.  It’s more than worth it.
